    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To assess the feasibility and utility of regular exercise after renal transplantation.
    • To evaluate exercise responses in kidney transplant patients before, during, and after a supervised training program.

    Main Methods:

    • 10 renal transplant patients underwent graded exercise testing at three time points: pre-training (T1), post-supervised training (T2), and long-term follow-up (T3).
    • Supervised exercise involved treadmill walking and cycle ergometry, commencing approximately 17 days post-operation for 5.5 weeks.
