A national database analysis for factors associated with thyroid cancer occurrence

- Factors such as elevated BMI, higher socioeconomic status (income), urban living, and thyroid dysfunction (hypothyroidism/hyperthyroidism) are associated with an increased risk of thyroid cancer in both men and women.
- These findings highlight the importance of considering a range of environmental and lifestyle factors in the etiology and prevention of thyroid cancer.
