Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To test and compare the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of the Student Nurse Stress Index Scale (SNSI-CHI) and the Stressors in Student Nursing Scale (SINS-CN).
  • To assess the sensitivity and specificity of both scales in Chinese nursing students.
  • To describe the current stress status among nursing students in China.

Main Methods:

  • A cross-sectional survey was conducted with nursing students in Henan Province, China.
  • Data were collected using questionnaires including SNSI-CHI, SINS-CN, and the Chinese Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS).
  • Reliability (Cronbach's alpha, item-to-total correlations) and validity (content, construct, concurrent) were assessed, alongside sensitivity and specificity.
