Genetic variation in Japanese Holstein cattle for EBL development

Genetic factors influence enzootic bovine leukosis (EBL) susceptibility in cattle, independent of proviral load. This finding suggests that genetic selection can reduce EBL incidence in dairy herds despite bovine leukemia virus (BLV) infection.
