Prevalence and Predictors of Thyroid Dysfunction Among Type 2 Diabetic Patients: A Case-Control Study

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and thyroid disorders are common. This study found a 26.7% prevalence of thyroid disorders in T2DM patients, significantly higher than controls. Age, female gender, goiter, and poor glycemic control are key risk factors.
