Design of skin flaps with a new technique using templates

Patterned templates were constructed to assist in planning, performing, and teaching skin flap surgery. Templates can be used to design geometrically accurate flaps and to consider different flap orientation strategies. They can be used to align flap tension forces in proper relationship with relaxed skin tension lines.
