Ibuprofen, a non-selective cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor, does not appear to harm oocyte competence or embryo quality in women undergoing natural cycle in vitro fertilization (IVF). This finding suggests ibuprofen is safe for pain relief around ovulation in fertility treatments.
