Findings:

  • Explantation of the textured silicone breast implant led to rapid symptom improvement.
  • The patient regained her ability to perform daily tasks and return to an active lifestyle within weeks.

Implications:

  • This case highlights a potential link between textured silicone implants and systemic inflammatory symptoms.
  • Prompt diagnosis and surgical intervention, such as implant removal, may offer significant relief for patients with BII.
  • Further research is warranted to understand the mechanisms and diagnostic markers for breast implant illness.
