Caudal Regression Syndrome (CRS) is a rare birth defect affecting the lower body. Early diagnosis and a multidisciplinary approach are crucial for managing this complex condition.

Background:

Caudal Regression Syndrome (CRS), also known as Caudal dysgenesis syndrome (CDS), involves maldevelopment of the body's caudal half.
It affects multiple systems including gastrointestinal, genitourinary, skeletal, and nervous systems.
CRS incidence is 1-3 per 100,000 live births, significantly higher (1 in 350) in infants of diabetic mothers.
