Interferon lambda protects cattle against bovine viral diarrhea virus infection

Recombinant bovine interferon lambda (IFN-λ) effectively protected cattle against Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV). This study demonstrates bovine IFN-λ’s potential as a novel antiviral biotherapeutic for livestock.
