Utilization of Prophylactic Antibiotics After Nasal Packing for Epistaxis

Prophylactic antibiotics offer no clear benefit or harm when used with nasal packing for epistaxis in the emergency department. Nonabsorbable nasal packing, however, is more frequently associated with antibiotic prophylaxis.
