Sarcopenia in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Cross-Sectional Observational Study.

Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) have higher rates of sarcopenia, a condition of low muscle mass. Albuminuria, osteoporosis, and higher body fat increase sarcopenia risk in T2DM patients.
