Fluoroquinolone antibiotics are linked to an increased risk of aortic aneurysm and dissection. This systematic review and meta-analysis confirms a significant association between fluoroquinolone use and these serious aortic events.

- Despite low-certainty evidence (GRADE), the association warrants clinical attention and further investigation.
