Background:

Littré's hernia (LH) is a rare condition involving Meckel's diverticulum (MD) within a hernial sac.
Meckel's diverticulum is the most common congenital intestinal anomaly, often asymptomatic but can cause complications.

Observation:

A 16-year-old male presented with an incarcerated Littré's hernia in the inguinal region.
Preoperative diagnosis of LH is challenging due to non-specific hernia symptoms.

Findings:

The case involved a rare complication of Meckel's diverticulum, occurring in only 1% of MD cases.
Successful surgical treatment was achieved through wedge resection of the diverticulum and subsequent hernia repair.

Implications:

This case highlights the importance of considering rare diagnoses in hernia presentations.
Effective surgical management of Littré's hernia can lead to favorable patient outcomes.
