An Important Risk Factor Affecting Hypercalciuria in Children: Vesicoureteral Reflux

Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) in children is linked to higher urinary calcium excretion, especially in untreated cases. Treatment of VUR significantly lowers calcium levels, similar to healthy children.
