Hypoxia induced factor-1α levels in patients undergoing adenoidectomy

Children with adenoid hypertrophy (AH) have higher levels of hypoxia-induced factor-1α (HIF-1α). Higher HIF-1α correlates with adenoid-nasopharyngeal ratio (ANR), suggesting HIF-1α as a biomarker for hypoxia in AH.
