Summary

Spontaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture is a rare injury. This case highlights a simultaneous rupture in a healthy individual without trauma, emphasizing the need for high suspicion in diagnosis.

Background:

Quadriceps tendon rupture is uncommon, typically affecting middle-aged athletes after exertion.
Bilateral ruptures are rarer and often linked to chronic conditions or medication use.
Spontaneous ruptures without trauma are exceptionally rare.

Observation:

A 60-year-old healthy male presented with simultaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture.
The patient had no history of trauma, underlying medical conditions, or relevant medication use.
This presentation is highly unusual, as spontaneous bilateral ruptures typically have associated risk factors.

Findings:

The case report details an unprecedented instance of spontaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture in a healthy individual.
