Summary

Patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) and conventional analgesia (CA) showed similar effectiveness in managing postoperative pain after lower abdominal surgery. Both methods, using morphine, resulted in comparable pain relief and side-effect profiles without affecting vital signs.
