Monocyte chemotactic protein-1-induced protein 1 (MCPIP1) reduces Hepatitis B virus (HBV) RNA in liver cells. MCPIP1 is crucial for the anti-HBV effects of the cytokine IL-1β, suggesting a new antiviral pathway.
