This study developed an immunohistochemical (IHC) scoring system to classify ampullary adenocarcinomas (AACs) into two distinct subtypes, Intestinal (INT) and Pancreato-Biliary (PB). The INT subtype showed significantly better overall survival than the PB subtype.
