Desynchronized Functional Activities Between Brain White and Gray Matter in Major Depression Disorder

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is linked to reduced white matter and gray matter (WM-GM) functional connectivity (FC), impacting treatment response. This study reveals decreased WM-GM FC in MDD patients, correlating with symptom severity and antidepressant effectiveness.
