Pancreatic cyst characterization: maximum axial diameter does not measure up

Maximum axial diameter (MAD) for pancreatic cysts (PCs) is a poor predictor of cyst volume and surface area. Measuring PC volume and surface area may improve risk stratification and surveillance, warranting further investigation.
