Histopathological changes in dilated ascending aorta associated with aortic valve cuspidity.

Tricuspid aortic valve patients show more severe aortic wall abnormalities than bicuspid aortic valve patients. These histological changes in the ascending aorta did not correlate with aortic diameter or patient age.
