Purpose of the Study:

  • Twenty-eight rats were divided into control and PBM groups, with and without behavioral tasks.
  • Reversal memory was assessed using the Morris water maze.
  • Cytochrome c oxidase (CCO) levels measured brain metabolic activity.

  • Control PBM group showed reduced CCO in multiple brain regions.
  • Behavioral PBM group exhibited CCO reduction in task-relevant areas (septum, entorhinal, hippocampus, amygdala).
