Abdominal height (AH) measured by an abdominometer is a superior indicator of cardiovascular risk in sub-Saharan Africa compared to Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR). AH demonstrated higher sensitivity and a greater area under the receiver operator curve.
