Gamma-Ray Spectral Unfolding of CdZnTe-Based Detectors Using a Genetic Algorithm

We developed a genetic algorithm to accurately unfold gamma-ray spectra from semiconductor detectors. This method restores true radiation energy distributions, overcoming distortions for precise radioisotope identification.
