People may use attention time proportions (ATPs) to compare and sequence tasks by difficulty. This study found that estimated attention time for tasks accurately predicted perceived difficulty and preferred task order.

  • One group estimated attention time proportions (ATPs) for intellectual (counting) and physical (locomotion) tasks.
