Superficial Acral Fibromyxoma: A case report

• A case study involving a 54-year-old male with a two-lobed mass on the 5th finger of his right hand.
• The lesion was situated adjacent to the 5th finger flexor tendon.
• Excisional biopsy specimen was submitted for pathological examination.

Findings:

• Superficial Acral Fibromyxoma is classified as a rare benign myxoid neoplasm.
• The presented case highlights a typical manifestation of SAF in the acral region.
• Pathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of Superficial Acral Fibromyxoma.

Implications:

• Surgical excision is the primary treatment modality for Superficial Acral Fibromyxoma.
• This case underscores the importance of considering SAF in the differential diagnosis of acral region neoplasms.
