Most diabetic foot cases stem from non-vascular causes. However, older age and existing coronary artery disease or peripheral artery disease (PAD) are linked to vasculopathic diabetic foot.

Purpose of the Study:
- To investigate the prevalence of vasculopathic diabetic foot.
- To identify factors associated with vasculopathic diabetic foot in a Saudi tertiary center.

- Retrospective chart review of adult diabetic foot patients (May 2015 - July 2019).
- Categorization into vascular and non-vascular induced diabetic foot groups.
- Analysis of clinical presentation and laboratory results.
Main Results:
- Out of 404 patients, 19.1% had vasculopathic diabetic foot.
- Vascular group showed higher incidence of coronary artery disease (32.5% vs 14.4%) and peripheral artery disease (PAD) in unaffected limb (22.1% vs 2.1%).
- Non-vascular causes accounted for 80.9% of diabetic foot cases.
Conclusions:
- Non-vascular causes are more prevalent in diabetic foot cases.
- Old age, coronary artery disease, and PAD in the unaffected limb are significantly associated with vasculopathic diabetic foot.
