Summary

Horizontally oriented scapula tip free flaps (STFFs) offer a viable solution for reconstructing large anterior mandibular defects. This technique demonstrated high flap survival and successful return to oral diet in eight patients.

  • Eight patients underwent oromandibular reconstruction using horizontally oriented STFFs.
  • Virtual surgical planning was employed in six cases.
