POLG Mutations Are Probably Rare in the Han Chinese Population

Pathogenic polymerase gamma gene (POLG) mutations, linked to childhood epilepsy, were investigated in Han Chinese patients. No significant POLG mutations were found, suggesting they are rare in this population and valproic acid is likely safe.
