Summary

Using computed tomography perfusion (CTP)-derived time-to-maximum maps significantly improves the detection of intracranial distal arterial occlusions on CT angiography (CTA). This enhancement aids both experienced and inexperienced readers in diagnosing acute ischemic stroke.
