  • Retrospective analysis of 61 surgically treated solitary intraosseous lipomas.
  • Histopathological examination to determine the degree of involution (viable fat, fat necrosis, calcification, cyst formation, woven bone).

  • Three histological stages were identified: Stage 1 (viable fat), Stage 2 (transitional with necrosis/calcification), and Stage 3 (necrotic fat, calcification, cysts, woven bone).
