Summary

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the efficacy of the water-slider method (WSM) in reducing polyp fragmentation.
  • To compare the polyp fragmentation rate between WSM and conventional methods.

  • Development of the water-slider method (WSM) using an auxiliary water channel during suctioning.
  • Prospective randomization of patients undergoing colonic polyp resection into WSM and non-WSM groups.

Conclusions:

  • WSM enhances the accuracy of histologic evaluation compared to conventional methods.
  • WSM does not prolong polyp retrieval time.
