Abstract:
One hundred consecutive carotid endarterectomies performed by one surgeon are reviewed. The diagnostic investigations, surgical indications, and operative results are reported. With recent widespread reporting of high complication rates following carotid surgery, particular emphasis was given to this series' low complication rate: no deaths, no strokes, three TIAs.
