Evaluation of Eye-Pain Severity between Dry-Eye Subtypes

This study found that aqueous deficient dry eye (ADDE) and decreased wettability dry eye (DWDE) subtypes exhibit greater eye pain severity than increased evaporation dry eye (IEDE). PainVision® offers objective assessment for dry eye pain.

- Subjective pain reporting via questionnaires may not fully capture the differences in pain experienced across DE subtypes, highlighting the importance of objective tools.
