Visualization of vesicles in semi-thin sections by the heat removal of epoxy resins

A partial removal of the embedding medium from sections of tissue with hollow structures results in the formation of phase object. The removal of epoxy resin by the heat of a gas-burner flame is a simple method which does not lead to shifts and losses of sections from glass slides.
