Increase in arterial stiffness measures after bariatric surgery

Bariatric surgery increased arterial stiffness measures, cardio-ankle vascular index (CAVI) and heart-ankle pulse wave velocity (haPWV), despite weight loss. Non-diabetic patients and those with greater heart rate reduction saw larger CAVI increases.
