Background:

  • Plasmacytoma (PC) and multiple myeloma (MM) are plasma cell neoplasms, while immunoblastic lymphoma (IL) is a B-cell lymphoma.
  • Distinguishing between PC/MM and IL can be challenging based on morphology alone.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate the immunophenotypic differences between PC/MM and IL using a panel of monoclonal antibodies.
  • To assess the utility of Ki-67 as a proliferation marker in relation to prognosis.
