The Effect of Low-Dose Intraoperative Ketamine on Closed-Loop-Controlled General Anesthesia: A Randomized Controlled

This study found that a low dose of ketamine did not affect the performance of a closed-loop anesthesia system using the processed electroencephalography depth-of-hypnosis index. However, higher propofol doses were needed in the ketamine group.

- Low-dose ketamine does not alter the performance of closed-loop propofol-remifentanil anesthesia controlled by WAVCNS.
- Further research is needed to confirm increased propofol requirements and investigate potential effects of ketamine on the WAVCNS index.
