Summary

Intraoperative tympanic membrane perforations (ITMP) during stapes surgery do not significantly impact hearing outcomes. Proceeding with stapes surgery and tympanoplasty in cases of small ITMP is safe, with minimal risk of complications like sensorineural hearing loss.
