Revising the Dose Adjustment for Normal Eating (DAFNE) program using the Behaviour Change Wheel (BCW) framework improved type 1 diabetes self-management. The DAFNEplus intervention incorporated 27 new behavior change techniques to sustain long-term health outcomes.
