Longitudinal comparison of ascites attenuation between antemortem and postmortem computed tomography

Postmortem CT scans show increased ascites attenuation compared to antemortem CT scans in enhanced imaging. This change was not observed in unenhanced scans, suggesting contrast media influences postmortem CT findings.
