Background:

Clinical nursing competency is crucial for patient care quality.
Identifying factors influencing competency is essential for targeted interventions.

Purpose of the Study:

To elucidate factors affecting the achievement of clinical nursing competency.
To identify key drivers for enhancing nurses' professional skills.

Main Methods:

Anonymous self-administered questionnaire survey of 717 nurses.
Assessment of clinical nursing competency using the Clinical Nursing Competence Self-Assessment Scale (CNCSS).
Regression analyses to examine factors influencing competency levels.

Main Results:

Basic nursing competency influenced by age, work-life balance, clear workplace vision, and relationships.
Advanced competencies (patient care, teamwork, professional growth) linked to experience, certifications, vision, and work-life balance.

Conclusions:
