  • Streptococcus sanguis endocarditis is a form of heart valve infection.

Observation:

  • A patient presented with acute pyogenic vertebral osteomyelitis as the first sign of Streptococcus sanguis endocarditis.
  • This represents the first documented case of this presentation.

Findings:

  • The study underscores the importance of suspecting vertebral osteomyelitis when disc infection is present.
  • Diagnostic imaging plays a crucial role in identifying vertebral osteomyelitis.

Implications:

  • Early recognition of vertebral osteomyelitis in endocarditis cases is vital for timely treatment.
