T-Helper Cell Subset Response Is a Determining Factor in COVID-19 Progression

In COVID-19 patients, a shift towards Th2 cells and elevated IL-15 indicate a poor prognosis. Senescent Th2 cells are a key risk factor for mortality in severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection.
