Hemoperitoneum associated with uterine fibroids: A case report

This case report details a rare instance of severe internal bleeding (hemoperitoneum) caused by a uterine fibroid. Contrast-enhanced CT imaging proved crucial for pre-operative diagnosis, enabling timely intervention.

- Pathological examination confirmed the uterine fibroid as the source of bleeding.

- Contrast-enhanced CT is a valuable tool for diagnosing hemoperitoneum secondary to uterine fibroids.
- Early diagnosis and surgical intervention are critical for managing this rare but life-threatening complication.
