Pharmacogenetic testing: Clinical integration and application for chronic pain management
Abstract:
NPs commonly prescribe pharmaceutical therapies such as opiates, antidepressants, and/or other analgesics to improve the health and well-being of patients experiencing chronic pain. This article provides NPs with pharmacogenetic testing knowledge, such as readiness for clinical implementation, considerations for choosing a testing service, and testing costs for chronic pain management.
