Increasing numbers of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in healthcare settings necessitate structured career development.
Institutions need to foster APP advancement, growth, and leadership opportunities.

Purpose of the Study:

To describe the development, implementation, and sustainment of an APP Professional Advancement Program.
To support all APPs, irrespective of role or practice setting.

Main Methods:

A comprehensive APP Professional Advancement Program was designed and implemented.
The program focuses on recognizing APP accomplishments.
Resources and tools are provided for professional development and leadership.

Main Results:

The program was successfully developed and implemented.
It supports over 700 APPs across various roles and settings.
The program facilitates APP career progression and leadership development.

Conclusions:

APP Professional Advancement Programs are crucial for retaining and developing a skilled APP workforce.
Such programs can be effectively implemented in large pediatric academic medical centers.
Sustained investment in APP development fosters leadership and enhances patient care.
