Causal Association Between Serum Thyrotropin and Obesity: A Bidirectional, Mendelian Randomization Study

Genetically predicted serum thyrotropin (TSH) does not cause obesity or affect body mass index (BMI). However, higher BMI can causally increase TSH and free triiodothyronine (fT3) levels.
